Gait Sonification for Rehabilitation in Knee and Hip Arthroplasty
The objective of the project is to develop a system to detect and analyze the quality of gait and to sonify the movement in order to support gait rehabilitation. It is assumed that this sensomotoric approach will help to relearn gait patterns which are more efficient and physiological. Thus, the new instruction and feedback method that will be developed within the project should reduce the period of rehabilitation in particular in knee and hip arthroplasty.
